Alarm Catch

for acoustic securing of high-class jewellery objects such as necklaces or wrist watches. Alarm systems for jewellery are well known. This invention however relates to a system to secure jewellery when it is worn. Catch is referred to as the part to open or close jewellery. This alarm catch, in which all security components are integrated, can fulfil a plurality of tasks in the jewellery field. Here, a necklace catch is described exemplary.

The system causes an acoustic alarm signal, similar to that of a digital wrist watches alarm clock, as soon as the catch opens or the necklace tears or breaks somewhere else. This ensures that the jewellery object itself or parts of it does not get lost unnoticed. A further development of this invention comprises the use of radio signals instead of acoustic signals. A pocket alarm (e. g. vibration) is caused by radio signal when the necklace tears or the catch opens.

The system is utmost flexible in use as the alarm catch can be adapted in shape, size, material, and colour. Thus the alarm catch can be integrated, correspondingly adapted, in nearly every jewellery object as for example in necklaces and wrist watches.
